Learning through play
This scheme operates from Monday to Friday, 2pm - 6pm and also provides daycare during school holidays and a full-time summer programme in the months of July and August from 8.30am - 6.00pm.
The children enjoy and participate in a full and varied programme throughout the summer incorporating active sports e.g. swimming, soccer skills, horse riding and arts and crafts e.g. t-shirt painting, jewellery making, and collage.
The service provides:
- 36 out of schools places available for 5-11 years
- one to one support for children with special needs
- a high level of support to meet childrens' individual needs
HOMEWORK SUPPORT
Two qualified teachers provide homework support to children from mainstream / Irish medium education 2 days per week on request. We have also developed a Community Transport Scheme with a mini-bus which covers North and West Belfast. We are able to pick up children where they live and take them to their respective school / daycare facility.
