Elderly Services - Call Line

When the call line started we used the strap line neighbours helping neighbours, we have developed from a basic listening ear service to a bespoke client led service.
Our service started following a local survey which showed that isolation was top issue amongst older people. Our calls help break down this isolation and also allows us to pass on information of local activities to all the clients.
As well as offering a reminder service for medication and appointments we ensure our interaction with all clients is positive and try to inject a wee bit of humour into the calls.
This helps us build rapport with new clients, and ensure the health benefits of positive interaction is increased.
As part of our service we also advocate on their behalf with statutory agencies.
