Summer Activity Programme 2018, for children aged 5 – 11 yrs

All parents indicated that the summer programme was very good. One parent indicated, “The staff were excellent, she is difficult to manage, I couldn’t have managed through the summer without the support of the scheme.”
Whilst another parent indicated, “My child loved going every day the club was excellent.”
One parent stated, “My child is very shy and wouldn’t talk to a lot of people but came out of herself over the summer talking to all staff and children, she even spoke about it at home as well.”
Another parent stated, “My children got to see and explore lots of different activities / places from nature to educational, there was never an activity that they didn’t enjoy.”
Finally, one parent commented, “my child felt that the staff spoke to her like a young person and that her opinion mattered. She also enjoyed the mix of female and male staff in the summer scheme setting.”

Quality of Care and Support Survey:

21 parents (90%) indicated that they Strongly Agree that they feel they can approach staff for help and support regarding their child.

Quality of Staffing Survey:

21 out of 23 (90%) returned parental questionnaires indicated that they Strongly Agree that parents opinions and suggestions are valued and staff are approachable and make time to listen.

Quality of Management and Leadership:

22 (95%) parents indicated that they Strongly Agree that the Children’s Services Manager / Deputy Manager are approachable and helpful and the setting is lead well and work together to meet the individual needs of the children.

Quality of Environment:

In this section 20 (87%) parents indicated that they Strongly Agree that the setting is kept clean, bright and in good order and the setting is stimulating for children.

Staff Questionnaire 2017

Quality of Care and Support Survey:

50% indicated that they Strongly Agree that they have the tools and resources to do their job effectively and that they can approach their Team Leader / Manager and speak openly about any issues or concerns that they may have.

Quality of Team Work:

60% who returned the questionnaires indicated that they Strongly Agree that staff are treated with respect. They further Agreed that the setting is lead well and everyone works together to meet the individual needs of the children.
